Ephesians Power - Prayer

Excerpts from Paul's letter to the Ephesians

To affirm your personalized spiritual blessings in Christ, use this power-prayer modified from the Ephesians text (1:3-23, 2:1-10).

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed ME in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.
For he chose ME in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined ME to be adopted as his son through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given ME in the One he loves. In him I have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of Gods grace that he lavished on ME with all wisdom and understanding. And he made known to ME the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillmentto bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ.
In him I WAS also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, in order that I, who WAS the first to hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory. And I also was included in Christ when I heard the word of truth, the gospel of MY SALVATION . Having believed, I was marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing my inheritance until the redemption of those who are Gods possessionto the praise of his glory.
For this reason, ever since I came to faith in the Lord Jesus and began to love all the saints, I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give me the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that I may know him better. I pray also that the eyes of my heart may be enlightened in order that I may know the hope to which He has called me, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for me because I BELIEVE. That power is like the working of his mighty strength, which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.
I was dead in my transgressions and sins, in which I used to live when I followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. I also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, I was by nature an object of wrath. But because of his great love for me, God, who is rich in mercy, made me alive with Christ even when I was dead in transgressions - it is by grace I have been saved. And God raised me up with Christ and seated me with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to me in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace I have been saved, through faith and this not from myself, it is the gift of God not by works, so that no one can boast. For I AM Gods workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for me to do.

As stated by the apostle Paul in Ephesians 3:7-13
"I became a servant of the gospel by the gift of God's grace given me through the working of his power. Although I am the least of all God's people, this grace was given me, to preach the unsearchable riches of Christ, and to make plain to everyone the working of this mystery, which for ages past was kept hidden in God but now through the church should be made known according to his eternal purpose which he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord.
